Chateau Leamon Shiraz 'Reserve' 1997 --Jeremy Oliver 92, RP 90 750ml

$49.99
3 available

"The 1997 Shiraz Reserve is made from the estate's oldest vines, this wine was aged in 100% new oak, and achieved a whopping 14.5% alcohol. It exhibits a deep plum/purple color, as well as sweet, jammy, blackberry aromas and flavors intertwined with smoky new oak. Some pepper is noticeable, but this is an unevolved, harmonious, exuberant, richly fruity, powerhouse wine that also displays considerable finesse and elegance. Anticipated maturity: now-2012."  Robert Parker, April 1999.
